SciosciaDo I even need to explain this one? Scioscia is a saint to you Dodger fans, spending all 12 years of his professional baseball career with the blue team and winning two world series with them. All that is great, he was a great catcher, but he's graduated to bigger and better things, like taking the "other team from Los Angeles" to win a world series and turn them into a team that consistently wins. Not only has he become a great manager for the Angels organization, but has also become a star all on his own merit by starring in many many many Howard's ads. How can you not like the ad where he is arguing with the ump about which is better, LCD or plasma? Parking$15 just to park your lowrider doesn't seem just a little outrageous? Compare that to the super deal of $8 at Angels stadium and you can easily see how the Big A handily beats going to the ravine. Now, going to Dodger stadium is a rite of passage and something that everyone should experience at least once in their lives, a whole lot of history there, but at $15 a car, I'd say crossing the orange curtain once a season or so is good enough for this writer and his wallet. The WonderdogI'm not going to try to compare Vince to anyone, that's just not possible. Vince is a legend who has followed the Dodgers from the east coast out here to LA where the Dodger fans of LA have embraced him as such. Let's face it though, Vince is getting pretty old and I'm not saying anything, I'm just saying that he might not be broadcasting very much longer. So when Vince hangs up the mic, who are you Dodger fans going to listen to? Who are you going to have pumped through your AM headphones at the game to tell you what's going on right in front of your eyes? Get with the program guys, Rex is the broadcaster of the future. If your a disciple of Vince it might take you a while to warm up to Rex, but what Vince is to professionalism and dedication, Rex is to enthusiasm and color. Jake even took some time to write a little bio on him and you can bet your sweet Brooklyn blue ass that we'll be giving Rex a whole article in this here series. Down a few sports sodas (read: beers) of your choice and give Rex a chance, and I bet you'll never look back. AL vs NLNo matter how well they're playing now with the Man Ram on their team, the Dodger are and always will be in the NL. Let's face it, the practice of having the pitcher his is just barbaric. It is an embarassment to the game and someone needs to put a stop to it right now. Who likes seeing the bases loaded only to realize that the next at bat is a pitcher? Get real America, I for one am disgusted by this. This country was founded on hits and that's what we care about, and that's why we all love our designated hitters, because their sole purpose in life is to give the fans what they want: hits. I'll leave you with this thought on this; when you were a kid pretending to be at bat with two outs in the bottom of the ninth in the world series, did you ever envision yourself striking out leaving two men on base and telling yourself "it's ok, I pitched a hell of a game."? No, you didn't.
